Farndale, North Yorkshire, Mesolithic Project

The Mesolithic Project at Farndale, North Yorkshire is now complete.

This 2 week project, held in July and August, was looking for evidence of Mesolithic settlements on the North Yorkshire Moors in the Farndale area.

The project was very successful and a possible cairn, gully and small pit was discovered along with numerous flint.

A team of hardy volunteers helped this project and we would like to thank them for all their hard work and also thanks to the staff of the Farndale estate.

The weather was quite variable, but we do hope to return to the area in the future.
