Preston Park - Week two
We are into the second week and have five trenches open with an assortment of paths and vegetable beds.
The paths have been cut a long way down into the ground and filled with ash and brick to make hard, well drained surfaces.
Various finds include early field drains, complete bottles, cow horns and the usual mix of pottery as well as a Victorian Toy Soldier.
Wednesday 17th June 2009 - The rainclouds came to visit the site along with a few schools, we might leave the watering can in the office next time.
